Social Groups

Trinity offers many social groups that allows us share our ideas and passions with others. Social groups are a great way to help keep us connected.

Lutheran Ladies United

Lutheran Ladies United offers devotions, interesting discussions on faith, safety, health, environment, guest presenters and special events.

Join us every third Tuesday of the month from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 pm at Trinity’s 232 Fennell Avenue East location. The meetings end with fellowship time over coffee and goodies. Join us and bring a friend! This group is open to women of Trinity members and any women from the community. Please review the events page for dates and times.

Hiking Group

Our Hiking group was started as a “walk to talk” during the pandemic when we were looking for a way to connect and keep in touch. We realized how enriching it is to walk together, as well as breathing the fresh air and meeting and making new friends. Our hike connects us with creation and each other.

We hike in Hamilton and surrounding areas that offer many wonderful trails.
We usually walk for 60 to 90 minutes at a very moderate pace. Please review the events page for dates, times and locations.

All are welcome including members of Trinity and anyone from the community.

Creation Care Group

The concern and the will to actively be involved in the care of our creation has brought us together to follow God’s call “to cultivate and guard creation.” (Genesis 2:15).

The Creation Care Group is motivated to act because the Bible emphasizes the believer’s responsibility of stewardship of the earth, love for each other and God’s creation, justice for each other and God’s creation, and the glorification of God for His creative power.

We seek a more sustainable lifestyle through a variety of activities such as:

  • The Sharing of information through presentations.
  • The participation in events and projects to protect and enhance the environment. For example a pollinator garden was created at the Hughson Street site.
  • The production of resources materials such as brochures and pamphlets that can be used by church members and others to promote sound environmental practices.
  • By participating in collaborative efforts with similar-minded groups in other churches in order to strengthen environmental action in the broader community.

We meet every last Tuesday of the month for about 90 minutes. You can join the group and share your ideas about how we can effectively spread the word. You can be part of the movement by doing activities that help make the earth a better place for us and the future generations. Enquiries about joining can be directed to any members of the group or the church administration.

Congregational Life

Congregational Life is a small but busy committee that mostly works behind the scenes. We try to encourage fellowship and further community by organizing coffee hours after worship, Lenten suppers, pancake and Easter breakfasts, Rally Sunday, Advent Sunday, and retirement and installation celebrations. Food is important but not all that we do. The committee members also send out birthday cards for parishioners over 90 and for special anniversaries. We also put together the first Trinity photo directory. All of this is possible with the help of many who contribute their baking and cooking, and their time and efforts.

Coffee Hour

Coffee hour is one of the many events put on by the Congregational Life Committee. After the Sunday worship service, you are welcome to stay for refreshments. This is a great opportunity for fellowship and community.
